Parlour takes a different approach to hair extensions.
Not all extension salons are the same.
This industry is full of talent and innovation, but also a lot of confusion. Our goal is to cut through the noise, share the receipts, and give clients the truth.
While we specialize in short, fine, and thinning hair, we create natural, lasting transformations for every hair type and texture. We won’t overload your hair just to fake volume, leave extensions in too long, or install something unsafe just because you asked for it.
At Parlour, your scalp and natural hair always come first because no look is worth compromising your hair’s health.
We offer a highly customized hair extension service.
Whether you’re looking to add a little volume, address hair loss, or go for 30 inches of drama, we tailor every detail to your specific needs. We specialize in modern, luxury hair extensions designed to meet a wide range of needs and lifestyles. With training in nearly every method on the market, our team has chosen to focus on techniques that offer the most natural looking results and the best client experience.
Keratin Bonds (K Tips)
Hand Tied Wefts
At Parlour, your hair is custom-crafted to you. We specialize in precision color matching, texture matching, and offer straight, wavy, and curly textures, ensuring your new hair flows seamlessly with your own for results that look and feel completely natural. We prioritize your long-term hair health so that you get results that are both beautiful and sustainable. This isn’t fast beauty, it’s about using safe techniques with an artistic touch.

We left branded hair behind.
After decades of collective experience, we source our own hair. We simply get better results with hair that we process ourselves. We purchase virgin hair and craft our own keratin bond and weft extensions.
With hundreds of virgin ponytails in every length, color, and texture, straight, wavy, and curly, we’re the only salon in Philadelphia with such a diverse, on-demand inventory. This means no long waits for hair to be shipped, better customization, and results that look and feel more natural. Every strand is ethically sourced, carefully inspected, and transformed into our own keratin bonds and wefts, designed to protect your scalp and blend seamlessly with your style.
Genius Wefts
Genius Wefts are ultra-thin, hand-tied hybrid wefts designed without return hair (“mustache”), making them more comfortable and less bulky than traditional options. Ideal for guests with medium to thick, straight hair, they offer a low-maintenance sew-in that lies flat against the scalp while still delivering high-volume results. Installed with a hidden bead row technique, Genius Wefts provide both comfort and a seamless finish.
Maintenance is recommended every 5–8 weeks, with new hair typically needed twice per year.

Keratin Bond / K-Tip Extensions
Keratin Bonds (K-Tips) are our most popular and versatile extension method, offering seamless blending, natural movement, and long-lasting wear. Installed strand by strand, they provide maximum flexibility for styling and parting while remaining virtually undetectable. Perfect for all hair types and densities, K-Tips are easily custom-blended for both texture and tone.
With proper care, keratin bond extensions can last 3–4 months without any in-salon maintenance before the hair is replaced.
Texture Matching
We know that a perfect match isn’t just about color, it’s about texture too. That’s why we specialize in both texture matching and texture manipulation to ensure your extensions blend seamlessly with your natural hair and how you like to wear it. Our in-house inventory includes straight, wavy, and curly textures, giving us the flexibility to customize for every guest, from sleek and smooth looks to naturally voluminous curls.
For clients whose natural texture doesn’t perfectly align with their chosen extensions, we also offer specialized texture services like the Qiqi Treatment. This professional service helps soften, smooth, or reshape your natural hair so it blends effortlessly with your extensions. The result is a polished, natural-looking finish where your hair and your extensions move and feel as one.

Color Matching, Color Enhancing
At Parlour Hair Enhancements, we’re experts at creating flawless color matches so your extensions blend seamlessly with your natural hair. But we also take it a step further by offering chemical-free color through extensions themselves.
Want sun-kissed highlights, lowlights for depth, or pops of brightness without touching a drop of bleach? By strategically blending shades of extensions, we can give you the look of multidimensional color with zero chemical processing. It’s a safer, healthier way to experiment with your style, maintain the integrity of your natural hair, and achieve the kind of natural, lived-in dimension that traditional coloring can’t always replicate.
We've Mastered the Blended Cut
Every installation includes a precision haircut designed to blend your new extensions seamlessly with your natural hair. This step is what makes the difference between extensions that look “added on” and a result that feels completely your own. By shaping the extensions and your natural hair together, we ensure your look has natural flow, body, and balance, so no one will know where your hair ends and the extensions begin.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Our Extensions
What types of hair extensions do you offer?
«We offer keratin bond extensions and genius wefts, and our extensions are made and customized in-house.
Which brands of hair extensions do you work with?
«At Parlour, we don’t rely on big factory brands—we source our own hair directly. Every set of extensions comes from a single donor, is carefully inspected by our team, and is ethically sourced with donors paid fairly for their hair. The result: premium-quality extensions you can feel good about wearing, with no shortcuts and no shady hair trade. Learn more about our hair extensions.
Can I wear my hair in a bun or ponytail with hair extensions?
«The short answer is typically yes! The long answer is it depends on your hair type and length.
The finer your natural hair, the harder it will be to wear your hair in a high bun while concealing your extensions. You will always be able to put your hair back into a low ponytail. We offer a few different install techniques that hide your attachment points. During your consultation, we will go over your lifestyle and how you ike to style your hair to decide which method is best for you.
How long will it take to install my hair?
«Installation times will depend on the complexity and the experience of the stylist. Our more experienced stylists will faster, but we all focus on quality over speed. Here is an idea of the amount of time you'll be in the chair:
- K tip installs take anywhere from 3-10 hours depending on complexity
- Weft installs take between 2-5 hours depending on the number of beaded rows
- For weft and topper maintenance can take between 1-3 hours depending on complexity
- Hair extension consultations last about 30 minutes
- Hair loss consultations last about an hour
Don't worry, we have WiFi, iPads, a coffee bar, cocktail bar, snacks and we order all of our clients lunch.
How much do hair extensions cost?
«Pricing depends on several factors, including how much hair you need, the length and density you choose, the installation method, and the stylist performing the service. During your consultation, we’ll provide a customized quote tailored to your hair and goals. Here is a general idea of our pricing.
Staff | Jacob | |
K tips for density | $1500+ | $4000+ |
K tips for length | $2500+ | $4000+ |
Wefts for density | $1000+
Wefts for length | $2000+
Weft maintenance | every 8 weeks $300-$900
Bonded topper | $2500-4000 initially
Bonded topper maintenance (monthly) | $500 |
For services performed outside of the salon, Jacob's rates are doubled. Please inquire about rates with other staff members.
Can I donate my hair before chemo and have it turned into extensions for later?
«Yes! We are happy to harvest your hair prior to your chemo treatment and have it made into hair extensions, a topper, or wig for when treatment has been completed. Not many salons have the skills to do this.
Please keep in mind the amount of hair donated will determine what we can do with it. Please book a consultation so that we can give you a better idea of what we can do for you.
Is there a long wait to order the hair?
«We keep a lot of hair in stock, so you likely won’t need to wait for a custom order. In fact, we stock so many colors and textures, no one in Philadelphia has this selection. Custom orders can be accommodated and the turnaround time will depend on the type of hair and where we are sourcing it.
Can I sell you my hair?
«We offer a “Sell Us Your Hair” program for clients who have virgin ponytails over 14 inches in length. Hair is reviewed for quality and can be used in creating custom enhancements.
If you are interested, please submit our application.
How do I prepare for my extensions consultation?
«On the day of your consultation, whether we are seeing you in person or virtually, please wear your hair in the texture you wish to match.
About Our Consultations
How long is a hair consultation?
«Hair extension consultations last about 30 minutes.
Hair loss consultations last about an hour.
Virtual vs In person consult, which should I choose?
«A virtual consultation is for anyone interested in consulting with Jacob, our Owner. With a decade of experience, dedicated staff, and thousands of installations under his belt, there is no reason to require an in person consultation. When he sees you the day of your install, he can match and make any necessary changes. With this level expertise comes a higher price point.
An in person consult is best for those interested in seeing another staff member, a sooner date, or lower price point. Jacob will still white glove your consultation and choose the hair for your installation, he just won't be the one doing the installation. An in person consult gives the stylist a chance to prepare for your appointment and results in an extremely high-rated client experience.
Why do you charge a consultation fee?
«At Parlour, consultations are considered paid appointments. Rather than a quick sales pitch, you’ll meet one-on-one with Jacob, known nationally as The Weft Nerd, for a thorough, advice-filled session. You’ll receive a personalized evaluation of your hair, color/texture matching, an honest recommendation of what will (and won’t) work for you, and a detailed quote with no pressure to book. Jacob conducts all consultations and pulls from a decade of experience to ensure the hair and the stylist you are paired result in a seamless installation and a beautiful result. This level of expertise comes with a price of $100 for up to 30 minutes.
From consultation to installation, how long does it take?
«From your first consultation to having your new hair installed, the process typically takes about a month. Need it sooner? We can often expedite and complete everything within a week, depending on scheduling. Please note that a rush fee may apply, as this requires our team to adjust schedules and work additional hours to make it happen.

What if I can't come to the salon for a consultation, but I really want to see another staff member?
«If you want to have your extensions installed by anyone other than Jacob, you'll need to come in to the salon for a consultation. We realize that for those traveling a great distance, this can pose a logistical challenge. So here's what we can do. We will do a virtual consultation initially but you should plan to arrive in Philadelphia the day before your install. We'll have you come in to the salon and meet with Jacob (he does all the consultations) so that we can get an exact color match and prep your extensions for the following day.
